The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1-2 We fear many things. Witnessing, praying in front of people, or simply scared that we may be judged. Remember "the fear of the Lord". Who should we be scared of, disappointing people, or disappointing our God! He is our salvation and our strength. We should fear no one; only love them, see them through Jesus' eyes, and share our faith.

"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days" Proverbs 19:20. We are never too old to learn. We never have "enough" knowledge of our Savior. Remember, we are training and learning about the Lord, so that we may be wise in our decisions, now and in the future. If we always direct our paths with God's instruction, we will never go down the wrong path.

"A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter." Proverbs 11:13. I read this today, and the notation at the bottom of my Bible reads, "Even when information is accurate, one is to avoid talebearing. The New Testament clearly defines how to deal with a brother's fault. Reproof is to be done PRIVATELY (Matt. 18:15; Gal. 6:1) with the individual and then concealed from all others". WATCH WHAT YOU SAY. Even if you are right, that doesn't necessarily mean that it is worthy to talk about.

I know that we are tired. All of us are. However, we must not shirk our responsibility to Christ. Remember, "I can do all things through CHRIST, who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13. Pray. Pray for God to give us power and strength to be a GLORY to Him.

I just want to remind everyone to put on their armor this week. Ephesians 6: 14-18
Girde you waist with truth
put on the breastplate of righteousness
shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace
take on the shield of faith to quench all of the fiery darts of the evil one
put on the Helmet of Salvation
and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD.
Protect yourselves; Arm yourselves.

I try to be real patient with my children. They are going to question me. I understand that. However, sometimes I just need them to obey. Emilie loves to question. She is becoming a teenager two years early. The other day I told her to get dressed and here came the questions. "Why? (common one) Where are we going?" etc. Finally I told her to just get dressed and quit asking questions. That is when I had an out of body experience, and was brought back to scripture. Isaiah Chapter 55 and verse 8-9 says, "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are you ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." You know what God is saying. Quit questioning me and OBEY. When we are touched by God to pray for someone, to call a friend, to show mercy to an enemy, or to witness to the lost, we must ACT. Not ask God if He is sure He has the right person. Be bold to act for Jesus, and OBEY.

I was reading in 1 Peter, and came upon an interesting scripture. Chapter 2 and verse 9 says, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness into His marvelous light." Coming across this, I realized that each Christian has the responsibility of Priesthood. It is our choice to witness and teach for Him, but make no mistake; we are only obedient when we are following the command to make disciples of all nations. Remember, our job is WITNESS and GROWTH.

To try and keep things fresh for the website, I have decided to create a page dedicated to scripture, teaching, and overall spiritual matters that God has laid on my heart. The purpose is twofold. First it will be another way that will keep me accountable to the Word. Second, it is another way I can preach, teach, and get the Word out to those who are hungry for God.

I like the part about just doing it and not questioning. Reminds me of a song. (Most things do) When we walk with the Lord, In the light of his word, What a glory he sheds on our way.
While we do His good will, He abides with us still And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, For there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.
